Unashamedly different to the others

Because performance and comfort are everything

Born, operated and designed in Australia and dedicated to producing anatomically-correct cycling shoes, Bont Cycling is driven by a passion to make every ride your best yet. Designed around the shape of a human foot and focussed on delivering an uncompromising and scientific approach to performance and injury prevention, our shoes don't look like the others - and that's just how we like it. With more than 40 years’ experience manufacturing high-performance sports footwear, Bont Cycling is and continues to be the only cycling shoe company that puts your feet first, every time.

Behind the design

Every pair of cycling shoes starts with the last - what a shoe is built around - and this is the foundation of the Bont Cycling difference. We understand that every foot is unique, having performed more than 20,000 foot scans in the process of perfecting our lasts (yes, we have more than one and they are also produced in-house) and it's this deep approach to fit that is paramount to every model in the lineup.

It's why we offer 19 sizes with 5mm increments and up to four off-the-shelf widths because the right fit means greater efficiency and superior comfort no matter the distance. Designed and constructed by us, our sizing range also means we're able to offer a true-fitting width shoe regardless of whether you're best suited to narrow, standard, wide or our industry-leading Asian fit.

Anatomical forefoot shape

Anatomical forefoot shape

Conventional cycling shoes offer dress shoe-style shaping. While aesthetically pleasing, this shape can cause the toes and metatarsals to constrict, compressing nerves between the metatarsals leading to the rider experiencing dreaded 'hot foot' sensations and more serious conditions such as Morton’s Neuroma. Bont Cycling shoes feature a true anatomic shaping to allow the foot to function in its most efficient and functionally correct position. The foot is supported in its endeavour to relax through the metatarsal joints allowing the pedalling force to be spread across the greatest possible surface area.

Medial longitudinal arch support

Medial longitudinal arch support

Structural medial longitudinal arch support is provided in all models to stop over pronation of feet. Over pronation is one of the main contributors to incorrect tracking of knees and can cause unwanted rotation of the tibia a femur during the pedal stroke leading to injury. In addition, the rotation of tibia and femur can cause the pelvis to tilt resulting in lower back strain.

Lateral Forefoot Support

Lateral Forefoot Support

Bont’s lateral forefoot support ensures neutral positioning of the forefoot and alleviates common issues associated with over pronation and supination. These issues often result in incorrect tracking of knees causing injuries along with hip and lower back pain.

Anatomical heel cup

Anatomical heel cup

The anatomical heel cup of Bont Cycling shoes is designed to increase stability during the pull-through and pull-up stage of the pedalling stroke. This stabilization is achieved without any mechanical operation or additional tightening of the retention system so the foot can experience increased comfort through improved blood circulation.
